After our Rough Cut was seen to various other media groups, they all gave feedback on our Rough Cut. Our Rough Cut is more of a rough rough cut, as we were behind time with the editing, so we placed a few clips together. The marking of the rough cuts was done by other students, they were given a mark sheet of pointers saying if it was a level 1,2,3 or 4 film, 1 being poor, 4 being good. We were given level 2 by 2 groups and level 3 by 2 groups. These marks gave us great confidence as we hadn't started the editing process fully and just on some of our shots we had been given a relitivly decent grade. The written comments were mainly about the good shots, but also about the lip syncing. We had done some lip syncing shots before the Rough Cut was to be released, but we didn't have the needed time available to put them in the sequence in the correct place, so we decided the best solution was to leave it out to stop from getting down graded.
The film at the moment is 25% complete, we have the first quater roughly done, however we do think that some lip syncing shots need to be re-filmed. So tomorrow we are getting into college early and doing some shots in a green room where we are going to create a master shot. This means that we will always have the master shot to refer back to if we cannot fill a gap in the video. We shall be using a darkened room with various studio lights and xmas tree lights to create a pop music element to the video. We shall also be using a dolly to create camera movement in shots other than the master shot.
In the other projects, the Digipak and the Magazine Advert, Alyssa has started drawing out a couple of ideas. For the front cover the plan has always been to use a picture of Cat (beach actress in dress) sitting on the sea wall facing out to sea, which we still think would work best. In the inside cover we are planning to have the face of either Alyssa (lip sync actress) or Cat's face as a side on view having the lyrics of the song put next to her mouth and the title Human level with her nose. We still need to discuss the magazine advert.
The font for 'Human' I think should be different to the lyrics. The lyric font is currrently 'Champagne and Limosines' found at dafont.com: Lyrics Font I think the 'Human' should be in a font such as 'Birth Of A Hero': Human Font
