In today's lesson we discussed the several problems and found a new problem but found a solution
- We now have an actress for our music video now.
- We have sorted out some shots in our story board, however at the moment we don't know the order of shot.
- At the moment we are more concentrating on shooting most of our shots if not all at Cromer beach. We are still focused more on the sunset shooting at Cromer beach. However to get a wider range of shots if this location is are main focus for are video, we can film during the day as well.
- When filming at Cromer beach we were thinking about filming all day, this would mean the battery for the camera would wear out quickly and we wouldn't have anywhere to charge the camera. A solution was to get another battery which matched the one in the camera so we could have to charged and if one runs out, we still have another battery to use and carry on filming. However our teacher said we can borrow two batteries.
During our search for images about the actress' costume and the location Cromer beach. I found a picture with writing in the sand. This is when I had the idea to write in the sand "Human by Ellie Goulding" or just "Human" and maybe later on in credits we can write each of our names. This would give us a chance to do stop motion like we originally planned to do with Ellie Goulding - Fly.
Instead of saying I love you like in the picture above we'd write "Human by Ellie Goulding" or just "Human" and maybe our names for credits.
Then we can have use stop motion or live action to see the words being washed away.
If we did stop motion for this we could make it really jerky.
If we used life action we could slow down the process of the sea washing the words away, as stop motion would be really difficult.
We are going to have to think about whether we want our footprints in the shot, because if we don't we are probably going to need a long stick to draw with so are footprints in these shots. However having random footprints in the shot like in the picture above, it can be quite effective. It also has more going on in the shot.
I've found 3D lettering in sand which looks like a nice to recreate. However it is obviously more time consuming than writing simply into the sand.
