Lighting Techniques Lesson

In our previous lesson, we learned how to use and perform some well used lighting techniques. We first learned how to use the light in a way that gives appropriate shadow to the shot e.g. on the singer's face. We were shown a YouTube tutorial on this:

We were then shown a video on how to create our own light fragmenters out of plastic packaging:

We could use these techniques for our music video to create different ways of showing light to brighten up the video and also to make the shot look more interesting.

We were also told how to manually change the contrast and exposure on the video cameras and also to point where we wanted the camera to focus, so it makes the rest of the shot darker and makes the chosen point slightly brighter.
