Slow Motion shot problem

In lesson today, we did a shot of Cat, the actress and group member running in the woods ready to be put into slow motion. But as we edited it and slowed it down by 25% the quality dropped significantly, which if that happened in the real video it could be a disaster. So we looked up some techniques on how to slow down the video without reducing the quality and we found a couple of ways, but we are unsure if we would be able to use them, either due to cost of the plug in or the quality of the camera is too poor for the effect to make an effect.

The plug in we were mainly looking at was Twixtor, as it blends frames together to give a smoother flowing motion. This video show the difference between slow motion and Twixtor.

We then found this video showing the difference between some slow motion effects including Twixtor at varied speeds. This video is particuarly useful as George has the camera that it was filmed with, so if we were able to use his camera for one shot of the music video or for the whole music video it would be far better quality as it can film in 50fps.
