In Goulding's music videos, she follows a narrative and has a lot of close ups. This a convention for her songs but our the song we have chosen we are doing something unconventional, we're having long shots and rarely showing the face of the actress until the very end where there will be a close up of her face.
Her music videos follow a colour scheme, Anything Could Happen has a muted, desaturated setting while Starry Eyed is bright and vibrant. The music video above for Starry Eyed is the US version where as Anything could happen is filmed in the UK. It goes to show the cultural difference between the two, the US version has a lot more close ups than the UK one.
Another thing that I noticed was in Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love US music video, there is a narrative where she is with a guy, in her UK version she isn't and there are scenes with other couples. This has made me realized there is a significant difference between the US and UK music video conventions.
